The Spit Fires are a combination of three friends, all uniquely passionate about music.
Brooke, Kelcie, and Owen, all native Oklahomans, often share mutual pride of their home state in music.
Brooke Potter got her start performing at the Rodeo Opry where she now teaches the Rising Star workshops.Brooke has found a distinct voice in her songwriting by combining catchy melodies with clever, funny and empowering lyrics. Her powerful vocals are the perfect blend of sweet soul and feisty edge, capable of captivating any audience.
Owen and Kelcie have been making music together for nearly 8 years. Finding an unbreakable connection through music while only teenagers, Owen and Kelcie are now married and share their love of music and family daily.
Owen is the Music Director and afternoon disc jockey for Oklahoma City's station for New Country music, 93.3 Jake FM.
While Owen's passions are spread from radio, to hosting the Rodeo Opry in the OKC Stockyards, to playing guitar and performing with the girls, he does each with a drive and desire that is hard to come by.
Kelcie is a softball coach and certified to teach secondary English Education. Although she spreads herself among various interests; including being a campaign manager, working at her aunt's restaurant Libby's, and giving private pitching lessons, she feels most joy and validation through writing and performing music.
We hope you enjoy the harmonies of these three friends who all bring unique qualities to the band. Our desire is to entertain, warm hearts, and bring joy through our variety and spontaneity.
